Abstract | Income differentials between board-certified and non-board-certified physicians are examined to determine whether the trend toward certification is economically induced. After adjustments for specialty, age and hours worked, the differential is small, but physicians are most likely to become certified in specialties with the largest differentials. (Author/JMD) |
