Abstract | Two experiments examined preschoolers' visual and verbal coding processes in a pictorial short-term memory task. Results of both experiments indicated that high visual similarity had a deleterious effect on recall accuracy regardless of the verbal codability of the stimuli. (Author/JMB) |
