AbstractThis bibliometric study looked at the information literacy (IL) literature published by Asian authors, focusing on publishing and citation trends, prolific authors, institutions, countries, collaboration patterns, the thematic evolution of keywords, and factor analysis of keywords, journals, and countries. From the Scopus database, the study's authors extracted bibliographic data on IL from Asian countries. The findings revealed that 20 of 48 countries in Asia produced no publications on the topic. The last few years, however, have seen remarkable growth in Asian IL literature. The study traces IL in Asia from its emergence in the 1990s through its growth and development. The most prolific authors, countries, institutions, journals, authorship patterns, and collaboration trends are also identified. This is the first bibliometric study examining IL literature published in Asian countries. (As Provided).
