Abstract | Electrochemistry is a branch of chemistry concerned with the interrelation of electrical and chemical effects, in which mathematical equations are employed to describe the fundamental principles of electrode processes and measurement methods. In this work, we present a graphical simulation that provides visual observations of dynamical behavior through simulations of the key equations and allows for the tuning of parameters that contribute to the behaviors. In particular, the simulation opens up opportunities for users to visualize the synchrony between detectable signals and microscopic/kinematic behaviors on electrodes. This simulation is suitable for upper-division undergraduate and graduate courses. Although built with Python code, all programs were designed using a graphical user interface, which makes the programs easy to operate even for students without a programming background.
