The authors interpret this category at the level of complex and interrelating activities of two subjects of the academic process: a learner and a teacher. It is defined as a kind of academic space, which provides holistic acquisition of the academic content, allows learners to show their abilities, motivates their foreign language activities, enables them to learn the native speakers' culture, promotes their education, development, and upbringing.
