Abstract | The unique nature of 2020 had the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) focusing on creating more benchmarking changes in practice and policy in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and less on its surveys or other projects. However, they also engaged with the American Council on Education (ACE) in a large multi-phased project in support of their National Task Force on Transfer of Credit. The ACE project led to an independent AACRAO project to benchmark the current transfer policy and practice at U.S. institutions and make updated recommendations for practice. In addition, they partnered with organizations with projects related to change management and stranded credits. The purpose of this article is to provide a single source for research finding takeaways from 2020. Included in the article is a brief introduction of each research topic, a summary of the key data points, and, if applicable, practice recommendations. (ERIC). |
