Abstract | A key element of statistical literacy is the construction and interpretation of graphs. In this article, the author uses examples of student work (Years 3 and 4), at an Australian school, to show some of the complex steps involved in creating a formal graph from a data table. Over time the student's observations and understanding become more sophisticated. (ERIC). |
