AbstractThe aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between, serious and indifferent leisure time and leisure management of Generation Y and its education in light of different variables. Leisure education was used in the study in terms of participation in activities, especially in terms of serious leisure participation information, and no measurement tool was needed in this respect. The study group consists of a total of 504 participants of Generation Y, including 164 women and 340 men born between 1980 and 1999. In addition to the personal information form, the "Leisure Management Scale" developed by Wang et al. (2011) and adapted to Turkish by Akgul and Karakucuk (2015) and the "Serious and Casual Leisure Scale" developed by Akyildiz (2013). It was determined that the data did not have a normal distribution, and the Mann Whitney-U Test was used to compare quantitative continuous data between two independent groups, and the Kruskal Wallis Test was used to compare quantitative continuous data between more than two independent groups. The Pearson Spearman Correlation Analysis was performed to determine the relationship between the sub-dimensions of the scale. As a result of the study, it was determined that there were significant differences according to the gender, leisure time and the adequacy of the recreation areas. At the same time, it was observed that there was a significant positive relationship between leisure management and serious and casual leisure sub-dimension. (As Provided).
