| Abstract | For this seventh article in the series reviewing recent court decisions concerning appropriate school psychology practice from both professional and legal perspectives, consider the summary of the disability-related case below and the questions and answers after it. The disability focus here is specific to the school psychologist, not the students. Thus, the primary statutory basis is the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Section 504 was a possible (but not necessary, given its identical definition of disability) alternative. New York disability discrimination law played a supplemental role, and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) had an indirect effect. (ERIC). |
