Abstract | This lab exercise exposes students to Evernote, which is a powerful productivity application that has gained significant purchase in professional work environments. In many academic settings the introductory computer applications course has a specific focus on standard productivity applications such as MS Word and MS Excel. While ensuring fluency in these applications is still relevant in today's business environment, we submit that colleagues should consider expanding the portfolio of applications we cover. The bulk of this paper is intended to expose colleagues to the capabilities of the application and help them prepare an in-class presentation and demonstration of Evernote. Appendix A contains a student lab exercise, which students can complete in or out of class. The instructor notes contain additional information and resources to help colleagues introduce this extraordinary tool to our students. (As Provided). |
