Abstract | In this article, the author shares favorite children's books and stories for integrating language and music during shared-book experiences. The music activities described are aimed to contribute to the overall singing development for children in preschool and primary grades. Music and reading teachers will enjoy sharing these books with early readers in ways that foster expressive speaking and singing through vocal exploration and singing repeated melodic patterns.
