Abstract | The aim of this research was to determine the interests of high school students in Physics and variable of how the influential factors on their interests depending on gender. The research sample included 154 (F:78 M:76) high school students. A structured interview form was used as the data collection tool in the study. The research data were analyzed using frequency, chi square and content analysis. According to the results of the analyses, there was no significant difference between the female and male students' personal interests in physics. In addition, it was found that the male students were more aware of the developments in physics more than the female students. In terms of career planning, the male students were observed to be more interested in physics than the female students. The results of the content analysis revealed outstanding similarities and differences in the views of the male and female students. (As Provided). |
