Abstract | This special issue provides real-world examples of the diverse methods health education researchers are using to expand existing applications of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for health promotion and chronic disease management. The original and review articles presented in this special issue investigate eHealth, mHealth, and social media use in health education and community engagement research that supports wellness, healthy eating, and active living among individuals living with or at risk for one or more chronic conditions(s). Challenges and opportunities stemming from the results of these studies are discussed within seven papers published in the special issue. (ERIC). |
