AbstractThe American School Counselor Association developed national standards for students to provide a framework for a holistic approach to student academic, career, and personal/social development. While the ASCA Student Standards are comprehensive, little attention is given to stress. Adolescents are experiencing greater stress associated with academic performance, extracurricular activities and worry about the future. The utilization of a well-being model and the integration of the ASCA Student Standards into school counseling programs for middle and high students can create a more holistic approach to providing stress education and stress reduction techniques. (Contains 3 tables and 1 figure.) (As Provided).
