AbstractThe purpose of this study is to evaluate project based learning in multi-grade classes. This study, based on a student-centered learning approach, aims to analyze students' and parents' interpretations. The study was done in a primary village school belonging to the Centre of Batman, already adapting multi-grade classes in their education system, in 2011 to 2012 academic years. The study was organized with the aid of qualitative research methods. 18 students of the 4th and 5th classes taking courses together and 8 parents participated in the study. They (students and parents) finally judged the applied project based learning activity favorably, signified their satisfaction at the end of the project and intended to further participate in a project based learning study.
