| Abstract | This dissertation presents an in-depth examination of the effectiveness of restorative practices in a high school setting. The study was conducted in a regional high school and included both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. The results of the study show that restorative practices can significantly improve student behavior and school climate, leading to a more positive and inclusive learning environment. Additionally, the findings illustrate that restorative practices can have a positive impact on academic outcomes by increasing on-time graduation rates while reducing exclusionary discipline practices. Implications for policy and discipline practices are discussed, including the importance of implementing restorative practices in schools and the need for ongoing professional development for educators. Restorative practices serve as a set of principles and techniques designed to build relationships, repair harm, and to place equity within a community.
