Abstract	Onboarding in higher education is important because it acclimates new employees to their new work environment and integrates them into the institution's culture. Through employee surveys, focus groups, and open forums, Delaware Tech identified the need for a collegewide onboarding program to acclimate new employees to the culture. This study provided me with the opportunity to develop a framework for onboarding and identified the components that make up the Delaware Tech culture. Using a mixed methods study design, I explored the benefits of the framework for onboarding and improvements that could be made for new employees to understand the Delaware Tech culture. Study participants include deans and directors at all four campus locations and the Office of the President who collectively have the experience at the College and appreciate the Delaware Tech culture. Using descriptive analysis of participants' responses, I coded open-ended survey and interview responses, found themes, and mapped them to the inquiry questions to determine if the content areas were beneficial and to identify areas of improvement. The results of the study indicated the eight content areas suggested for new employees to understand the Delaware Tech culture are beneficial. The results also revealed additional content areas to add for improvement actions. Given that these content areas were found beneficial, I recommend using the framework to build the onboarding program for new employees at Delaware Tech.
