| Abstract | This study dealt with the duties and responsibilities assumed by white staff members in agricultural education in colleges and universities in the United States. An effort was made to divide these duties and responsibilities into areas of activities and to determine which of the duties and responsibilities were assumed by the various specialists in agricultural education. The study also dealt with the changes which staff members planned to make in their local programs plus the changes which they thought should be made in the future. The primary purpose of this study was to describe the duties and responsibilities of staff members in agricultural education according to their specialties. The study was based on a summary of the activities performed by staff members. The descriptions were not recommended job descriptions. The lists of duties and responsibilities presented according to specialties may not be complete. An effort was made to list every activity of a departmental staff and then combine or telescope the activities into larger headings. It is possible that in combining the lesser duties and responsibilities under larger headings for the sake of brevity, some duties and responsibilities were omitted.
