Abstract | This booklet compiles 10 good practices of the Happy Schools activities from different countries in Asia-Pacific. As part of the Happy Schools Campaigns organised in 2019 and 2020 to celebrate the International Day of Happiness under the theme: "Share Happiness, Share Your Happy School Activities" for 2019 and "Happiness for all, Forever" for 2020, over 60 submissions were received from different schools including the Happy Schools pilots in the region. 10 schools from Bhutan, Fiji, Hong Kong SAR China, India, Japan, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Thailand have been selected by the Happy Schools Project team to showcase some interesting and engaging school's in-class and extracurricular activities. Each activity sheet highlights core activity information including the lessons learned and which Happy Schools Framework/indicator the activity resonates under: People, Process, and Place. The objectives are to provide good examples of how different schools promote happiness and learner well-being and how they engage their school communities through different approaches, and to inspire other schools and communities to learn and further adapt the concepts in their respective contexts. [This booklet was prepared by the Section for Inclusive Quality Education (IQE) of the UNESCO Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau for Education (UNESCO Bangkok).] (As Provided). |
