Abstract | This non- experimental study examined the relationship between principal leadership style and teachers' Job Satisfaction, from the perception of the classroom teacher. The convenience sample consisted of 196 public school teachers from multiple middle schools within the McAllen Independent School District. Participants completed a brief demographic questionnaire regarding their gender, age, ethnicity, tenure, educational level, main teaching assignment, and English Language Learners (ELL) per teacher. Teachers assessed their principals' Authentic Leadership behaviors as measured by the "Authentic Leadership Questionnaire" (ALQ) (Avolio, Gardner & Walumbwa, 2007) and their own Job Satisfaction as measured by "Abridged Job Descriptive Index & Job In General Questionnaire" (Stanton et al., 2001). A multiple regression was the analysis of choice that was used in this study to determine if a statistically significant relationship would emerge between the variables. The results showed that Age, Ethnicity, Self Awareness, Relational Transparency, and Moral/ Ethical emerged as predictors of the Job Satisfaction facets.
