AbstractThis report provides information about the performance of Aboriginal students (including adults) in British Columbia's public schools. Ten sections include: (1) Introduction; (2) Student and District Context (Kindergarten-Grade 12), 2012/13-2016/17 (including gender differences, alternative programs, and special needs students); (3) Foundation Skills Assessment (FSA) Grades 4 and 7, 2012/13-2016/17 (including reading, writing, and numeracy); (4) Required Examinations Results, 2012/13-2016/17 (including English, mathematics, science, civics, social studies, and communications); (5) Transitions, 2011/12-2016/17 (progress of students entering grade 8 in September 2011, by cohort and gender); (6) School Completion, 2012/13-2016/17 (six-, seven-, and eight-year completion rates by cohort and gender and school completion certificates); (7) Education Experiences of Children in Care, 2012/13-2016/17 (enrollment in care, six-year completion rate, and graduation rate by aboriginal status and gender); (8) Post-Secondary Transitions, 2012/13-2015/16 (grade 12 graduates by transition type, destination, and immediate entry student destinations; (9) Student Survey Results, 2012/12-2016/17 (grades 3/4, 7, 10, and 12); and (10) Glossary.
