AbstractEffective leadership is an important factor contributing to the successful implementation and operation of information products and services. The quantitative study examined the thoughts of IT upper management and employees in the private, public, and nonprofits institutions. The study assessed the memberships of the Association of Information Technology Professionals and several information technology-related associations. The memberships represent information technology laborers worldwide. The quantitative research investigated the influences of leadership styles on business and IT outcomes. The examination used the balanced scorecard to measure the organizational benefits. The results were calculated by the statistical analysis. The results indicated the information processing professionals in the three organizational types exhibited transformational leadership properties. The IT contingent reward behaviors of the transactional leadership style were a significant factor. Satisfaction with leadership was an important leadership outcome. The discoveries suggested the customer service and internal process aspects of the balanced scorecard have the greatest importance to the IT managers and employees. The strongest relationship between the transformational leadership attributes and the balanced scorecard dimensions' was customer service and inspirational motivation. Superior alliances included the internal process and individualized influence (behaviors). The significant affiliations included customer service and individualized influence (behaviors).
