Abstract | This article responds to Poutiatine's (2009) "What is Transformational?: Nine Principles Toward an Understanding Transformational Process for Transformational Leadership" by relating home schooling environments as lab schools for developing transformational leaders. Although many families select home schooling for improved academic progress or structured moral development, this article poses a new motivation: the development of leadership within children. Examples of all Poutiatine's (2009) nine principles from previously published research demonstrate that leadership development occurs in the home education setting. (As Provided). |
