Abstract | This guidance has been produced to help higher education institutions (HEIs) deal with hate crimes and intolerance. Aiming to replace the previous Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals' guidance on extremism and intolerance, this publication provides an overview of the ways in which HEIs can encourage tolerance and respect and ensure that academic freedoms cannot be exploited to damage the legitimate freedoms of others. Appended are: (1) Policies; and (2) Further information. (Contains 1 diagram and 30 endnotes.) (As Provided). |
