Abstract | The New Jersey Commission on Higher Education (the Commission) is required by statute (N.J.S.A. 18A: 62-46) to prepare an annual report to the Governor and Legislature containing a compilation of the data it collected about community college students who transferred to senior public institutions of higher education in New Jersey. At its July 25, 2008 meeting, the Commission adopted a resolution approving the form and content of the Transfer Report. The statute also describes the establishment of the Comprehensive State-wide Transfer Agreement. No changes to the content of the data submission have been implemented for the 2009 report. This report reflects final enrollment data up to 2008. The enrollment data for 2009 is still preliminary and will not be final until May 2010. The source of the information is the SURE (Student Unit Record Enrollment) files for each of the institutions, the new transfer file, degree program inventory, and IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System) files.
