AbstractThe challenge of delivering effective training to our nation's Military personnel is one that has bested many over the years. How does one instruct young, energetic students on highly technical and often boring material in a manner that makes the best use of the available time? This study used a researcher-designed questionnaire to collect data from 20 Air Force students in an effort to determine students' perspective regarding the effectiveness of the training they received. The research question addressed in this study is, Would a teaching intervention program based on Gestalt learning theory be perceived by students as more effective than the current Air Force curriculum in providing a quality training program for students enrolled in a highly technical training program? Research is expected to reveal that a Gestalt approach to highly technical training can be beneficial to the Air Force students.
