Abstract | This executive summary highlights the main findings from our participation and outcomes analysis of the "AfterZone" initiative--a citywide system-building effort in Providence, Rhode Island, that aims to provide high-quality, accessible out-of-school-time services to middle school youth. The summary briefly defines the AfterZone's unique multisite service delivery model; provides an overview of the study's quasi-experimental research design; outlines key findings related to participation and program benefits; and presents implications for funders, policymakers and program leaders interested in implementing their own citywide out-of-school-time system.
