Abstract | Student motivation is a universal challenge among teachers of every instructional level and content area. Motivation, particularly in the art classroom, is a challenge for many art educators. My study looks to unwind the intricate web of student motivation and to identify effective motivational strategies that art educators use on a daily basis within their classrooms. This qualitative study, conducted in a suburban school district, uses art educator's real life experiences and opinions to pinpoint useful motivational strategies. Appended are: (1) Letter of Informed Consent; (2) Online Survey; and (3) Interview Questions: Response Guided. (Contains a bibliography.) (As Provided). |
