Abstract | The "Guide to National Board Certification" introduces teachers to the assessment process and provides them with useful information as they apply for National Board Certification or order the "Take One![R]" professional development kit. By participating in the National Board Certification process, participants are joining tens of thousands of educators in an unprecedented effort to reshape the public's perception of educators, to create more professional and educationally rewarding relationships among educators, to advance the knowledge base of educators, and, ultimately, to improve student learning. This paper presents an updated version of the Guide to National Board Certification. (Contains 8 tables.) (ERIC). |
