Abstract | This guide was developed to fill a need identified by high school educators and Alberta Advanced Education and Technology staff. The Guide introduces students to the principles of career and education planning and various authorized Alberta resources by helping students work through the planning process. The student guide is a series of modules or steps that can be delivered in the classroom or used by students on their own. The steps within the student's guide meet curriculum learning outcomes for Career and Life Management (CALM) and can be used to meet Career and Technology Studies (CTS) learning outcomes. Through the development of the student's guide and Educator's Companion, career development resiliency was built into the guiding steps in the tone of the context, personal quotes and reflection questions. This Educator's Companion includes learning objectives, background information, delivery methods and activity timelines for each module (step). [For the student guide, see ED506089.] (ERIC). |
