Abstract | "Forum Focus" was a semi-annual magazine of the Business-Higher Education Forum (BHEF) that featured articles on the role of business and higher education on significant issues affecting the P-16 education system. The magazine typically focused on themes featured at the most recently held semi-annual Forum meeting at the time of publication. "Forum Focus" also highlighted members' viewpoints and the work of their organizations. This issue of the publication includes: (1) Boosting K-12 Student Achievement: How Corporate America and Higher Ed Can Help; (2) BHEF Launches the K-12 Education Initiative; (3) Congress Acts on the American Competitiveness Initiative; (4) Investing in the Nation's Schools: Battelle, IBM, Pfizer, and Raytheon Work to Improve American Education (Alvin P.
