Abstract | This article fills a gap by identifying an under-studied area for learning participation (LP) in HRD theory building. A literature review is presented to identify gaps in adult education and HRD literature. An HRD LP framework is then proposed, from cross-sectional/time-series perspectives, to describe the pattern, factors, structure, and the interrelationships in LP with model constructs. The conceptual framework is operationalized to demonstrate its applicability. The implications for future HRD research are elaborated. (Author). |
