AbstractThis final report discusses the activities and outcomes of a project that provided training on the Paraeducator Supervision Academy (PSA) Model (curriculum, instructional materials, and supervision of paraprofessionals) to faculty who will prepare future school professionals. Training was provided to faculty and preservice students in schools and colleges of education, faculty in related services programs, staff developers and in-service school professionals, and parents in 32 replication sites in 21 states and in the Department of Defense schools. Each demonstration consisted of two full days of training of potential trainers, as well as teachers and related services personnel. It addressed coordination among service providers by demonstrating the use of the package to multi-disciplinary teams. A total of 1,137 people participated in the training. Pre- and post-test self-perceived skills change data show significant differences in skill level. Interviews with 22 participants found that 77% of participants were using the concepts, activities, or materials presented in the demonstrations in some way. A 20-minute videotape was also developed during the course of the study discussing building better working relationships with paraprofessional school personnel and focusing on the work of three teachers at different grade levels and the students and paraeducators associated with them.
