Abstract | This 2003 salary report reflects data collected about compensation earned by employees in Illinois' 48 public community colleges. Data are presented by peer groups with statewide totals. The seven peer groups are based on a combination of college enrollment, geographic location, and financial data. The employee groups used in the report are faculty, administrative staff, classified staff, and other (nonteaching) professional staff, including technical and academic support staff. Section 1 covers contractual base salaries for full-time faculty. The state average for low faculty salaries is $32,269; for high salaries, $78,045. The state average of median faculty salaries is $51,287. Section 2 covers part-time faculty salary rates. Section 3 presents data regarding salaries for full-time faculty with M.A. degrees. Section 4 details faculty salary policies and faculty contracts. Section 5 addresses salaries for other professional staff. Section 6 presents data on administrative staff salaries. Section 7 covers salaries paid to selected administrators. Section 8 presents data regarding classified and other nonprofessional salaries. Section 9 covers fringe benefits. Section 10 presents salary increase data. Section 11 offers total salary averages. Section 12 presents statewide salary averages for fiscal years 1999-2003. (Contains 25 tables.) (NB) |
