Abstract	This symposium is comprised of three papers on learning and job satisfaction. "The Relationship Between Workplace Learning and Job Satisfaction in United States Small to Mid-Sized Businesses" (Robert W. Rowden) reports findings that revealed sufficient evidence to conclude that learning is pervasive in the small to mid-sized businesses studied; small businesses have a substantial amount of human resource development occurring in the workplace; a large part of the workers' sense of job satisfaction comes from workplace learning; and workplace learning has linkages to an employee's satisfaction with his or her perception of recognition. "Can One Size Really Fit All? A Study of the Relationship Between Learning Needs and Learning Satisfaction of Nontraditional Students in Taiwan" (Hui-Chin Chu, Chi-Jung Fu) presents findings that participants with stronger desire for improving their competence tended to have higher satisfaction toward environment-related factors, and those who had more desire for self-accomplishment and social needs were satisfied with instructional- and interpersonal-related factors. "Work/Family Variables Influencing the Work Satisfaction of Tennessee Extension Agents" (April B. Martin, Michael Lane Morris) concludes from the study that the life and parental satisfaction scores of the agents were the only predictors for work satisfaction, and work satisfaction was not predicted by marital satisfaction or the selected demographic variables, including job title, gender, income, employment responsibility, years in present position, length of marital status, age, and education.
