Abstract | This instructional package, consisting of a text and 16 transparencies, is designed for the high school classroom. The three lessons in this instructional package are: (1) "The German Worker" (six activities); (2) "Government in Germany" (seven activities); and (3) "Culture and Daily Life in Germany" (six activities). Student activities focus on comparative economic systems, worker training and apprenticeship programs, structure of government (including case studies of the health care system and the federal budget), the role of the press in Germany, and leisure activities. Each lesson states educational objectives; lists materials and resources; provides background information; and presents activities. (BT) |
