Abstract | This book answers more than 70 key questions that business managers and trainers ask about using e-learning in their company as a business tool. Chapters 1 and 3-11 are comprised of questions and answers related to these topics: what e-learning is all about; what e-learning costs; applying e-learning to the business; what today's e-learning thought leaders say; what the different e-learning styles are; what the e-learning building blocks are; what else affects the e-learning solution; developing and delivering e-learning; where the e-learning will reside; and where e-learning is headed in the future. Each chapter begins with a list of the questions to be answered, the questions with answers, and a chapter summary. Chapter 2 describes 11 case studies that show the range of "where you can use e-learning" in a business setting and the range of different solutions that can all be called e-learning. It begins with a summary of the case studies so the reader can find one or two case studies that match a current training situation in his/her business, read only those cases at that point, and continue on to Chapter 3. Appendixes include a description of the IBM 4-tier learning model; e-learning lingo (a glossary); and subject index. (YLB) |
