AbstractDrawing on the research of 18 international experts in education and law, this yearbook presents a review and advocacy-free analysis of litigation involving education during the previous year in the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Europe. But the bulk of the yearbook focuses on education law in the United States. The volume is divided into 14 chapters, each a different topic and each written by a different contributor: (1) "Employees"; (2) "Pupils"; (3) "Bargaining"; (4) "Students with Disabilities"; (5) "Torts"; (6) "Sports"; (7) "Higher Education"; (8) "Students in Higher Education"; (9) "Federal and State Legislation"; (10) "Education-Related Cases"; (11) "International Law: Australia"; (12) "England and Wales: Regulating School Education for Social Inclusion"; (13) "Higher Education in Great Britain"; and (14) "Europe: The International Dimension of Educational Policy." Each chapter contains a short introduction, summaries of important court cases, analyses of legal precedents set by important court cases, and a brief conclusion. Appended are a subject index, an index of cases, and lists of cases by jurisdiction in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. (WFA)
