Abstract	Children who are bright and hard-working, yet find school a struggle, or children who can discuss things they have learned but whose written work is of surprisingly poor quality, might have learning differences that are hindering them from reaching their full potential. Some children are visual learners, others are auditory learners, and others are kinesthetic learners. One area of difficulty for many children is paying attention in class. Children with attention problems might benefit from: setting up a homework area that matches the child's needs; schedule the child's work into 10-minute installments; and behavior modification techniques. Parents might assist their child in dealing with problems of organization by: helping organize a workspace; explicitly teaching how to organize things; assigning colors to the child's school subjects; and creating an assignment book. By working together, parents and teachers can create a consistent set of expectations in order to structure home and school environments in ways that will help children be successful. (RS)
