| Abstract | This Washington State manual explains the full spectrum of activities involved in the planning, design, and construction of successful and cost-effective projects for school facilities. Chapters cover advance planning; financing; site selection; educational specifications; consultant selection; school design; bidding, evaluation, and award of construction contracts; the construction, closeout, acceptance, and occupancy process; and planned facility management. Included is an explanation of the procedures school districts must follow to apply for and receive state funds for school planning, design, and construction.
