Abstract	This book explores Jean-Jacques Rousseau's educational philosophy, as expressed in his key works, and applies that philosophy to adult education and revolution. The titles and topics of the book's seven chapters are as follows: (1) "L'Invitation: Raison d'Etre" (prelude, statement, significance, the process, assumptions and limitations); (2) "Le Rhetorique du Rousseau: Interpretation et Relation"" (deconstructionism, education and politics, the noble savage, nature and the nature of man, the individual and society, state and government); (3) "Le Concept comme L'Educateur La Theorie" (how we learn; nature, human nature, and society as educators of adults; "Le Contract Social" as an educator of adults); (4) "Les Adultes et l'Education: La Discussion" (adult education in preview, methodology, direct experience, negative education, adult student-teacher relationships, the community and the state); (5) "La Relation des Citoyens avec l'Etat L'Intention" (proem, those to be educated, how much the state should direct the educative process, the nature of state direction, support of adult educational programs, the "Volonte Generale" in adult educational philosophy, a national department of education); (6) "Liberte Academique, Creativite Intellectuelle, Diversite, Education Radicale: L'Observation" (academic and intellectual freedom, creativity, diversity and radical education, the works of Ivan Illich and Paulo Freire); and (7) "Resume: Pratique, Revolution, Rousseau" (practical applications, revolutionary implications, general critique).
