| Abstract | This directory is designed to help parents, caregivers, and professionals locate appropriate summer programs for children and youth with disabilities. It includes descriptions for more than 300 day and sleepaway programs and separate sections for young children and teenagers. Program descriptions are presented in English and in Spanish and include information on wheelchair accessibility, administration of medication, fees, scholarships, transportation, staff/camper ratio, and age of campers. The directory also includes suggestions for selecting a camp and questions that parents and providers may want to consider relating to child readiness and needs, the director and staff of the camp, the camp program, the camp setting, and food and facilities.
