| Abstract | This document outlines a proposal for the implementation of "The Virtual Campus" program in New Brunswick, a distributed online learning environment that will support the participation of all regions of the province and all sectors involved in learning and training. It also supports the development of multimedia courseware at all educational levels. The proposal consists of eight sections outlining the plan. The first section addresses the purpose, strategic rationale and financial requirements of "The Virtual Campus." Following is a detailed description of the online environment, courseware development, investment, description of positions, partnerships, sustainability, action plan and success indicators, and activities and beneficiaries. A results evaluation outlines measurable benefits and developmental benefits. The remaining sections focus on implementation of "The Virtual Campus," accountability reporting, consultation, environmental considerations, and the communication plan. Appendices contain "The Virtual Campus," organizational charts, funding proposal and distribution graphs, yearly distribution charts of funding, comparison of funding, and budgets. (AEF) |
