| Abstract | This report provides statistical information relating to the salaries, tenure, and fringe benefits for full-time (FT) instructional faculty and other personnel at Pennsylvania colleges and Universities. Tables and figures present the following data: (1) index of average salaries of FT instructional faculty employed on 9-month contracts for selected ranks vs. the consumer price index, 1987-88 through 1995-96; (2) average salaries of FT faculty for selected ranks by institutional control by selected years; (3) fringe benefit expenditures and percent of fringe benefit expenditures for FT faculty by selected years; (4) fringe benefit expenditures as a percentage of total salary expenditures of FT faculty by selected years; (5) average salaries of FT faculty for selected ranks, 1987-88 and 1995-96; (6) percentage change in average salaries of FT faculty for selected ranks, 1994-95 and 1995-96; (7) FT faculty with tenure and percent of FT faculty with tenure for selected ranks by sex by selected years; (8) number and percent of FT employees by race for selected years; and (9) average salaries of FT faculty, United States, Pennsylvania, and contiguous states, 1987-88 and 1994-95.
