Abstract	This collection presents entertaining, inspiring, and moving stories about teachers, mentors, and other special people who made a difference in the lives of others. Stories from 174 people of all ages, professions, and backgrounds comment on "A really great teacher is someone who..." The stories and interviews come from children, friends and acquaintances of the author, and notables in various fields, ranging from former President Jimmy Carter to Bishop Desmond Tutu. The stories represent examples of kindness, inspiration, and support and emphasize specific educational or guidance techniques in hopes that readers might be inspired to emulate successful approaches.
