Abstract | Used in conjunction with other books in the series, this book is designed to help adults tutor other adults to help them overcome reading and spelling problems. The book begins with a list of suggested materials for a tutor's library, information about the author, advice on setting up a tutoring schedule, and a questionnaire to be completed before beginning tutoring. The major part of the book consists of directions for tutors to follow as they work with students for the series of 60 lessons. The book provides detailed scripts and advice for the first five lessons and lists of words and sentences corresponding to students' worksheets (available in a companion volume) for the remaining lessons. The book concludes with different things to do during days 61-180 and sequential spelling lists for days 61-180. (RS) |
