| Abstract | This directory provides a selection of resources in the major areas of interest in the field of postsecondary education for individuals with disabilities. Most resources listed are organizations, information centers, agencies, foundations, or advocacy organizations related to a specific disability. The first section groups advocacy, access, and awareness resources into the following subcategories: advocacy and awareness across-disability, architectural access, education and career access, literacy, and family support. The next section groups resources focusing on community integration in subsections on the arts, employment, independent living, and rehabilitation. Disability specific organizations are listed next for chronic illness, developmental disabilities, hearing impairment, learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, mobility impairment and injury-related disabilities, psychiatric disabilities, and vision impairment. Resources concerned with funding are then listed, followed by sections on legal assistance and technology. An index and a list of toll-free telephone services completes the directory. (DB) |
