Abstract | This curriculum guide contains task performance guides for eight duties to be taught to prospective and inservice trade and technical education teachers in Maine. The duties involve eliminating sex bias and sex discrimination in school, on the job, and in self-identification. The eight duties described in the guide are the following: eliminating internal barriers, eliminating sex role stereotyping, providing survival skills for trade and technical women and men, creating support systems, eradicating external barriers, removing discriminatory behavior at all levels in schools and the workplace, delivering career education and exploration, and delivering workplace literacy skills. Each task performance sheet lists the duty and the specific task and includes an introduction, performance objectives, student learning activities, evaluations, and resources. (KC) |
