Abstract	These two booklets (one in English and one in Spanish) are designed to help parents become more involved in their children's mathematics education. The booklets are divided into two sections. The first section explains why mathematics is an important subject for children to learn as they prepare themselves for a place in today's society. The section discusses the function of the parents in this preparation; urges parents to participate in school activities; explains how parents can encourage their children and help them develop good study habits; and encourages parents to help their children see that mathematics is not only numbers, but concepts and ideas. The second section presents ways in which mathematics can be incorporated into family activities. Suggestions include utilizing mathematics in making purchases, traveling, planting gardens, cooking, and playing games. (MDH)
