| Abstract | Statistics on the current status and the changing patterns of services for persons with developmental disabilities are presented in graphic, tabular, and narrative form. The volume summarizes national statistics gathered through the Ongoing Data Collection System of the Administration on Developmental Disabilities and other sources of national data. The volume is divided into seven major topical areas: (1) Where do people live? (2) What are the characteristics of people receiving residential service? (3) Where are children and youth educated? (4) Where do people work? (5) How are people with disabilities and their families being empowered? (6) What are the outcomes of community living? and (7) How much do services cost? Over 40 sources for statistics are listed. (JDD) |
